Pilot site SOUTH RIBBLE

Pilot site description

The mats are used for the Worden Walled Garden Project. Worden Park is a public park, based in Leyland. This project will restore and develop the site to transform this forgotten local heritage into a living museum and working kitchen garden, creating a visitor attraction with added therapeutic and educational benefits. As this is a social project, a large part of the work is executed by persons with learning difficulties assisted by community workers.

In total 5.400 m² of matting will be used, spread over 2 years. By the end of 2013, the work will be completed.
