Pilot site description

In summer 2014 a new kind of Ecogrow mat has been installed in the east of Holland.

This new type of Ecogrow has been developed to allow a quicker rooting into the mat. A shorter grow-up time means lower production costs.

Furthermore, but on a smaller scale, two other types of the mat were installed in order to allow a comparative study.

At a first stage the mats will grow up in a special nursery (2014) and in 2015 these mats will be installed on public green roofs in the Netherlands.
